Klaverjassen is a popular card game. Form a team with the opposite person and collect as many bonus points as possible to win the remaining pair.
This is one of the favorite card games in the Netherlands. A 32-card pack is used, consisting of the cards A, K, Q, J, 10, 9, 8, and 7 in each of the usual four suits - spades, clubs, hearts, and diamonds. The object of the game is to score as many points as possible in sixteen hands. In competition games, the players on one table will rotate so as to have each of the other three as a partner. On each hand, the object of the game is for the player and partner who chooses trumps to collect more than half of the available points. If you fail to achieve this, you receive no points at all, while the other pair receives all of them. Points are earned by winning tricks that contain valuable cards as well as during gameplay as bonus points.
On each hand, one suit will be trumped. The ranking of the cards and their values are different in the suit chosen as trumps the other suits. Try to be the winning pair in sixteen hands.
