This is one of the favorite card games in the Netherlands. A 32-card pack is used, consisting of the cards A, K, Q, J, 10, 9, 8, and 7 in each of the usual four suits - spades, clubs, hearts, and diamonds. The object of the game is to score as many points as possible in sixteen hands. In competition games, the players on one table will rotate so as to have each of the other three as a partner. On each hand, the object of the game is for the player and partner who chooses trumps to collect more than half of the available points. If you fail to achieve this, you receive no points at all, while the other pair receives all of them. Points are earned by winning tricks that contain valuable cards as well as during gameplay as bonus points.
